Alzheimer/Dementia Care

At Alabaster, we believe our Residents coping with Alzheimer/Dementia disease sense when they are receiving love, kindness and genuine interaction.  We have created an environment that is safe and fulfilling.

We never fail to provide them with the respect and dignity they deserve.  We recognize the difficulties that loved ones may experience when caring for individuals coping with the Alzheimer’s/Dementia disease.  Our facility is designed to assist them with all of their activities of daily living.

Alabaster’s staff is certified Alzheimer's and dementia professionals.  Each resident’s daily routine varies and involves some brain stimulating conversations with staff and family members.  All activities are based on their level of cognizance.  We listen to their stories of yesterday for as long as there is a need for them to talk.  We involve other residents in their lives so there is never a feeling of alienation.  Physical exercise is key to their daily therapy which incorporates walking, dancing and other activities structured to maintain and encourage the use of their remaining skills.
